Pilates is a key exercise method for helping to improve posture and therefore relieve daily aches and pains. In this 55-minute class, you will be taught neutral spine and pelvic placement and stability - critical elements in relieving lower back pain. There are also strengthening exercises that will get the back extensors working as well as training the legs and hips to support good alignment. If you are recovering from serious back and neck pain, it is important that you consult with your doctor/physical therapist before you start the program. Some of the moves might be too challenging at first. Your instructor will modify the moves as needed. "Movement heals."
