Lecture: Food and Love - The Biological Basis of Emotions
Without food we don't exist...in a physical body. Without love, we don't come into a physical existence. So how does food influence and create the most powerful emotion—love? Or any of the other emotions—fear, compassion, anger, remorse, caring. Let's examine the effects of meat, sugar, carrots, brown rice and other common foods on producing or altering our feelings, our attitudes, our actions. We can trace the effects of foods all the way back to the quality of our genes, our development in the womb, our growth and the expression of our life's energy, how we feel about ourselves and others. And how we can change.

Shiatsu Massage: $150/person
Bob introduced shiatsu in the Midwest in the early 1980's as a teacher at The Ohio College of Massotherapy. He has studied shiatsu with Shizuko Yamamoto, Michio Kushi, Patrick McCarty and at the Swiss School of Shiatsu in Zurich, Switzerland. He has taught and been a practitioner at the Kushi Institute (in both Germany, Becket, MA and Japan), the French Meadows Macrobiotic Summer Camp and the Kushi International Summer conference. Shiatsu massage is a wonderful experience, relaxing, invigorating and healthful. It boosts the immune system and harmonizes the energy systems of the body, calms the mind and lifts the spirits toward joy of being alive.

Macrobiotic Counseling - $400/person.
