Lectures and Private Consultations for the 2019 Cruise

Lecture: Achieving Myofascia and Nervous System Harmony with Structural Integration with Coko Nakashima
In this lecture, Coko will share her knowledge gained through 15 years of working with myofascial tissue and her perspective on embryology and structural integration. The practice of listening to your body and developing self-awareness of what it needs for healing has proven to be very effective for clients with chronic symptoms who have not found relief through more traditional forms of body alignment.

Treatment in this way can help provide relief from pain, stress, fatigue and sickness, and aid recovery from injuries or giving birth. It can also improve flexibility and posture and help restore energy in daily life.

Rolfing™ Structural Integration - $200/person, 75 min.
The full expression of our physical and emotional vitality is restricted by the tension, pain and stress we carry around on a daily basis. Shed these layers and experience the human body’s natural ability to heal through facilitated movement. Improved physical fluidity and alignment promote the body’s potential for increased vigor and emotional wellness. This session will focus on improving the range of motion in tight muscles using Rolfing™ Structural Integration combined with shiatsu, sound healing, craniosacral therapy, yoga and more. Hands-on deep tissue work will reduce tension in the physical body and each session will include a consultation and home care education.

Craniosacral Therapy - $200/person, 75 min.
Craniosacral therapy provides a gentle but deep, functional restoration and relaxation based on a biodynamic osteopathic approach. It offers benefits for chronic pain, trauma care, stress and fatigue, while improving sensory body & mind awareness, autonomic nervous system regulation and structural integration for sensitive people.

Posture, Balance and Flexibility Movement Coaching - $150/person, $200/couple, 75 min.
In the session, we will learn the body’s true functions, investigate our body awareness, and increase flexibility and fluidity. This exploration will be achieved through various methods such as stretching, self-myofascial release, postural positioning, breathing exercises, micro movements, sensory body scanning and self-massage.

Learning the ‘roots’ of the body’s various movement systems will not only relieve you from negative symptoms, but it will also ‘restart’ the body in a way that will prevent future movement issues. This practice allows you to unlock fundamental physical barriers, and ultimately improve your way of life. Better body awareness also facilitates your natural healing ability.
