Moses Brown is a certified Anusara® Yoga teacher who has been teaching since 1991. He also leads Anusara® Yoga teacher trainings and Anusara® Immersion Programs. Moses believes that yoga should be a heart-opening experience that is both supportive and empowering to the student. His teachings create an approach that are physically dynamic, mentally stimulating and therapeutic. Moses brings focus, concentration, and mindfulness to his classes, weaving them together with playfulness, joy and FUN!! He is a longtime student of John Friend, one of the foremost yoga teachers in the world. Moses also has a long time association with natural foods, macrobiotics and vegetarianism going back 36 years.

Class 1: Basic Anusara® Yoga - Nourish Your Body, Clear Your Mind and Open Your Heart
Anusara® Yoga is the fastest growing style of yoga in the world. Anusara means “flowing with grace.” It was developed by master teacher John Friend and is attracting yogis of all levels with its light-hearted yet profound celebration of the human spirit and its transformative therapeutic power. Postures stretch, tone and strengthen muscles, joints and spine while stimulating internal organs, glands and nerves. By releasing physical and mental tensions, yoga liberates vast resources of energy. Classes are suitable for any level student who enjoys laughter during their practice and who can sustain long periods of being happy without a reason.

Class 2: Breathing and Meditation to Clear Your Mind and Open Your Heart
Utilizing practices of breathing and meditation, you will cultivate a positive and life affirming attitude to clear your mind and open your heart. Yoga is comprised of postures, breathing exercises and meditation, part of an ancient holistic system of personal development designed to help balance the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves. Breathing exercises revitalize and cleanse, and meditation brings increased clarity and inner peace. As body, mind and spirit are more deeply integrated, our lives begin to flow with optimal ease, energy and intelligence.

Class 3: Anusara® Yoga for a Healthy Back
Common back pain can be related to poor posture, faulty body mechanics, and weak back musculature, often the result of habits formed as we go about our daily routine. Learn poses to strengthen the back while stretching certain areas to restore normal body alignment. This class is slower paced and designed for people who would like to explore the therapeutic benefits of yoga and promote healing for back injuries or to prevent back pain and weakness. Open to any level student and will focus on specific poses and breathing techniques that will promote spinal stability, strength and flexibility while protecting any preexisting injuries.

Class 4: Intermediate Anusara® Yoga - Lifting Your Spirit Naturally
Weʼll step up our practice beyond what we can do in the basic classes. This is a class for students with a regular yoga practice without significant injuries or limitations who would like a little more challenging practice than the basic class allows. We will explore a variety of postures in the Anusara® approach. This class will be supportive as well as empowering to the student, with an approach that will be more physically dynamic, mentally stimulating and therapeutic. Weʼll still weave them together with playfulness, joy and FUN!!

One Hour Personal Anusara® Yoga Session - $200/person.
Guided by personal instruction and hands on direction, explore yoga in a way that is practical and beneficial. Experience how the subtle power of yoga works with all aspects of your being: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Learn to enjoy your natural strength, suppleness, vigor, and health through yoga developed specifically for you. Yoga will help you to enhance and reclaim your own personal well-being. Together weʼll refine or develop a practice that is relevant to your own body and life experience. Weʼll send you home with a plan to begin or advance your personal yoga practice.
