Holistic Vegan, Vegetarian, and Yoga Cruises
"The 'Voyage to Well Being' was such an inspiring vacation that I signed up my entire family for the next year before I left the ship! What a fantastic way to combine enlightening seminars with interesting ports of call while avoiding the hassles of transportation and the search for quality food. And as an added bonus--the opportunity to form friendships for a lifetime!"

Overview of 2012 Cruise Program

Hosted by author, teacher and entertainer, Jessica Porter.

Holistic Holiday at Sea™ is the largest, most comprehensive health and wellness program ever to be staged on a ship at sea. We consider our event a "Voyage to Well-being" and a wonderful, relaxing vacation experience. With over 35 teachers and 120 classes, our next cruise will be our best ever.

Keynote Speakers: With us for the first time, Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr., M.D. is a ground-breaking pioneer in preventive and restorative cardio-vascular medicine and a world-class athlete. In 1956, he received a gold medal in rowing at the Olympic Games. In 1968, as an Army surgeon in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star. He is frequently interviewed on TV and radio, including CNN's "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer, where he discussed his dietary recommendations to President Bill Clinton. Dr. Esselstyn's scientific publications number over 150. His pioneering research is summarized in his bestselling book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease.

Yoga Cruise

Benefits of Vegan Eating: We are pleased to offer classes with research scientist and university professor Dr. T. Colin Campbell, author of the best-selling book, The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long Term Health. Presently, Dr. Campbell holds an Honorary Professorship at the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine and is on the Board of Directors of the Chinese Institute of Nutritional Sciences, the government's leading institution responsible for nutrition research and policy in China.

Holistic Holiday at Sea™ has invited back one of the world's most important and knowledgeable vegan advocates, Neal Barnard, M.D., president and founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. He is the editor-in-chief of the Nutrition Guide for Clinicians and the author of more than 15 books on nutrition and health for lay readers. His research has been cited by the American Diabetes Association and the American Dietetic Association in official policy statements on healthful diets.

One of the most influential and spiritual vegan advocates in the US is keynote speaker Gabriel Cousens, M.D., a medical doctor, homeopathic physician, rabbi, and yogi. Author of seven books including Spiritual Nutrition and There Is a Cure for Diabetes, he offers unique perspectives on nutrition and holistic lifestyle. Dubbed “the fasting guru” by the New York Times, Dr. Cousens is the leading authority on live-food nutrition in the world.  As director of the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona, he facilitates retreats for healing and spiritual awakening year-round.

Mind-Body Medicine: In a sense, mind-body medicine is a metaphor for holistic healing, the annual theme of our cruise. Many of our teaching staff from the medical profession, such as Dr. Ronald Peters and Dr. Gabriel Cousens, view the healing process as a physical / spiritual process. Learn how to heal your body and soul while you have a relaxing vacation with hundreds of like-minded fellow travelers.

Yoga Cruise

Yoga and Yoga Nidra: Daily yoga, meditation, and philosophy sessions will be available with internationally known yoga master Yogi Amrit Desai and others. We have expanded our yoga offerings on this cruise to include several types and styles of practice including basic and intermediate classes in Amrit yoga, flow yoga, power yoga and Asanaro yoga.

This year's featured yoga teacher is Shanti Gold Cousens, co-director of the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona, where she teaches Kali-Ray® Tri-Yoga, aromatherapy, and other classes in the Center’s spiritual retreat programs. TriYoga is a complete revolutionary system of Yoga.

TriYoga is based on an ancient kundalini-inspired sequenced flow of yoga asanas (postures) synchronized with pranayama (rhythmic breath) and mudra (focus). The result is increased energy along with more physical, mental and spiritual awareness.

Integrative Relaxation: If you want to experience the benefits of deep rest and relaxation, join Chandrakant Hiester for this 4-day journey of emotional release. Integrative Relaxation is a simple, practical tool that offers profound emotional and physical benefits, but is very easy to do by yourself or with others in the comfort of your home.
